Likewise, there are 20 universities in the Ministry of Education sector: 10 multidisciplinary universities, 3 schools of economics and business administration, 3 universities of technology, and 4 art academies. The mission of universities is to conduct scientific research and provide undergraduate and postgraduate education based on it. There are universities in 11 different cities and towns, which offer education in altogether 23 localities in Finland.
